1971 Vintage Stella Bicycle

This all-original single-owner 1971 Stella road bike has been completely gone through and tuned, adjusted, and tastefully upgraded with red bar tape and Continental Gatorskins.
New cabling throughout, a wheel truing, brake pads, and a general tuneup & lube as well was performed by Takoma Bicycles in Takoma Park, Maryland.
I’ve been gingerly polishing the chrome & metal bits since this photo and I’m really noticing just how little this bike was ridden by its original owner. It appears to have been very lightly used, and it was always stored indoors.
This bike was purchased in 1971 while the original owner was in graduate school, then retired sometime in the 70's to his basement in Northern Virginia.
In 2023 purchased it from him, and went to work reviving this bike that is in excellent condition - considering it's a 52 year old bike!

Latching original bottle cage (never seen one before!) Top tube appears to be approximately 21 inches or 53-54cm, and stand over height with the tires is just a hair under 33 inches. See my photos with measurements for reference.
